June Newsletter

Hello dear readers! Long time no see right? Well, May for TFTC was a period which saw a lot of progress toward our goals, a lot of transition for our members, but not a lot of things to announce just yet. But now, WE'RE READY. So strap in and read on!

Her Sound on tiktok

Being the new-wave, tech savvy theatre company that we are, we have expanded our outreach to every frontier of the internet. Yes, yes, you've heard us talk about it before, but now it's... actually taking off! Composer-savant Ethan Carlson has steadily been uploading more and more instrumentals of popular songs from Her Sound on his tiktok @therealethancarlson and we're getting new duets every day. Since we've started posting, we've seen streams of some songs increase by up to 1,000 listens. To show our appreciation we wanted to showcase some of our favorite videos of our friends doing their own renditions of the songs:

First there's Hannah Spaulding slaying "Samson"

And Caitlin Doak laying down a dreamy lower harmony line with Ethan himself on "Jericho"

In addition to the previously announced Samson and Jericho tracks, Ethan has added new instrumentals to "Shulamite Girl" and "Jericho" for low voices. If you're in the mood for some karaoke, or just like to listen to talented people perform beautiful music go check them out!

Nathan's Contracts

In more personal news, TFTC's own Nathan David Smith is successfully #BookedandBlessed for the majority of the summer with contracts at Palace Theater in Manchester, NH and Millbrook Playhouse in Mill Hall, PA respectively. Having jumped straight into rehearsals last week in Legally Blonde as Ensemble u/s Callahan, he'll then scurry 450 miles east on a 24 hour turnaround to begin rehearsals for Nick Massi in Jersey Boys. He'll then finish out the summer at Millbrook in the ensemble of RENT. We wish him the best of luck in his productions and will miss him dearly while he's gone :,)

Matt Schultz Reviews

Back by popular demand, we bring you the return of a segment dedicated to giving you the expansive insight into theatre and the world at large from TFTC Business Manager Matt Schultz. As Matt hasn't been able to see much theater in the weeks following the birth of his daughter, we decided to pick his brain about about a much deeper topic: his feelings on being a father thus far. Schultz: "I mean, it's good. She just poops." And there you have it. The wise, passionate words of a man in the throws of new parenthood. Tune in for more stirring commentary in our next installment.

Newsletter Survey

This month we're doing our first ever Newsletter Survey! We'd love to hear your feedback on what you like about the Newsletter, what you want to see more of, and how we can improve your reading experience. If you've got a spare 2 minutes click the link below and share your thoughts with us!

Tell us what you REALLY think!

Call for New Writers!

Lastly, we wanted to put in a reminder that we at Thousand Faced Theatre are always looking for new submissions to help burgeoning writers with new pieces. If you or a friend have a new work you'd love help workshopping, whether it just be a table read or fully staged production, you can send your pieces to submissions@thousandfacedtheatre.com. We accept rolling submissions and would love to read what you have!

And that's it for me! Thank you once again for lending me your time and attention, and extra special thanks to those of you who fill out our survey and/or submit to us via email. You all are what make this company what it is, and we can't thank you enough for all your support.

All the best,

Matt and TFTC
